26- Inspired by a pattern. [30 day challenge/ untrieds]

Hello.. This post has been done at the last minute for day 26 of the [30 day challenge/ untrieds].

As it's inspired by a pattern day- I had this fabric chosen to recreate on my nails, but wasn't in the mood to do detailed bits..

So I was going to forfeit this day, until I saw the amazing manis from others also doing the challenge.

My Inspiration: is the stamping plate design I have used the most often, before when I only had 1 set, and seeing the sun shine today..

Base polish: Models own- fuzzy peach
Stamping polish: b collection by bloom- Osaka
Image plate: BM12

27- Inspired by artwork. [30 day challenge/ untrieds]

Hello.. I'm super happy I get to share with you my favourite artwork for today, as part of the [30 day challenge/ untrieds].
Inspiration: Escher print.

Base polish: essence- got a secret
Stamping polish:b colection by bloom- London
Image plate: CH13
Rimmel- Matte topcoat was applied through the middle of the design on each nail..

Haha, it dosn't look anything like the artwork.. But I would never have used this image plate unless the Escher print had given me inspiration..

See you tomorrow for inspired by a flag day :)

Hope everyone is checking out the amazing nails of others doing the challenge too.. click their links..

21- Inspired by colour. [30 day challenge/ untrieds]

Hello.. Today's polish for the [30 day challenge/ untrieds] is inspired by the name of a polish colour.
My pick is from b collection by bloom- Edinburgh.

Exactly 12 months ago, I was in the UK on a Topdeck trip, and we stayed a few days in Edinburgh, Scotland.. My favourite attraction in the city was the Camera Obscura. It's right near the Edinburgh Castle :) Travel pics to follow :)

19- galaxies. [30 day challenge/ untrieds]

Hello..This is my inspiration in creating a mani that looks like a galaxy for the [30 day challenge/ untrieds].
galaxy

I started with my base colour: b by bloom collection- London (a black polish, with silver holo glitter sparkles).
Then I was stuck how I should create the next layer, so left it for a bit.

7- black/white. [30 day challenge/ untrieds]

Hello.. It's not that unusual, but I didn't expect to have a black AND/ OR a white untried polish to be able to use it for the [30 day challenge/ untrieds].

My white polish is the ulta3- white lily (used to be made in Aus, now this one is made in PRC), and I read it is a great one coat polish. This is with the black polish from the brand called B.C., recently available from KMart for the bargain price of $2.

I also used b collection by bloom- Detroit (as seen top row, second from left- $1 clearance polish :).
It's a silver holo glitter.

Started with the white base, then freehand dotted onto nails in black, really close to each other, first diagonally through middle- from point to tip.
Then with a smaller tip, dotted the black closer to the tip and again near the nail bed.
Accent nail was my not growing fast enough pinky, first in black, then dotted in white.
Then dotted over the middle diagonal in the opposite colour with the smaller tip.
Was so happy how they turned out, but finished with the glitter dots for some shimmer- and used another untried !!

Left hand.
The thought of dotting the right hand would mean hours of messy dotting, so on top of the white base colour I stamped using black konad polish and image plate BM 322.
Accent nail I stuffed up and had to redo, so my pointer finger is the black base and silver glitter joined dots.
Also went over the outer black stamped dots with a dot of the silver glitter polish.

Right hand.
The pics didn't do it justice, I loved the glitter bouncing the sunlight around, and even though the hands didn't match they had the same style.

Do you ever have different manis on each hand?
And how many untried polishes have you used this week?

6- violet. [30 day challenge/ untrieds]

Hello.. welcome to my post on violet polish for the [30 day challenge/ untrieds]. The polish I have for you was chosen as I think that it's not your average purple..

I was a bit overcome by the definition of purple vs. violet so I looked it up on wikipedia :)
Violet can be loosely defined as a blue purple.

On to the polish, b collection by bloom- mykonos (all of their polish I have are named after different cities), purchased a few weeks ago as Target are clearing out this brand. I went back last week and they were marked down again to $1 each, so I picked up an extra mykonos (and 10 other cities as well!).

I had so much trouble getting my iphone to give a clear and true reflection of the colour shade on my nail, it wanted to change it to a navy blue, when it should have been the same as the blurry pics above..

It was good to go in one coat, only I didn't apply it smoothly at the base of the nail, so added an extra coat. I think the full coverage of colour has given the polish a deep violet colouring, with an electric blue zing in the sunlight.
