AUS: Pineapple

Hello.. in the lead up to Australia Day (26 January), I've some manis depicting things I love about Australia.

Also I am only using polish brands that begin with A, U and S.
A for Australis, U for Ulta3 and S for Sportsgirl (it also has "nail it!" name on the bottle).

Australis: limited edition 2

Ulta3: crazy

Sportsgirl. Nail it!: love potion

Stamping plate: CH20
Stamping polish: ulta3- gold rush fever

Have you been to the big pineapple? I love how we have a lot of giant fibreglass-y items that make an area famous.
The Big Pineapple

Now, as well as the mani, I need to ask if you are for or against pineapple appearing on a pizza (a sweet fruit on a savoury food)? What about pineapple in a salad (a fruit in a vegetable salad)?
Love some of the responses I have heard over summer, it's fun to hear the explanations why you have it in a certain food?

Also I'm piggy backing on Cathy's Aussie Day Nails lead up, that features an inlinkz.
So if you are reading this and are also Australian, get on it (before the 26th).
And if you came from another blog through the inlinkz-- thanks so much for reading down to the end !!

SSSP: De cup-a-cake has a show-err

Hello.. [I' ve posted this on 23/02/2013, due on 19/01]
Welcome to another Sunday Stamping Sneak Peek (SSSP)..
The theme for this week from AIS is an accent nail- see what I did with the title- I wrote it with an accent. Onto my nails for you to see.

Backstory- I was invited to a baby shower afternoon tea, and couldn't find my stamping plate with a baby bottle on it. I already had the full mani of Gloss n Sparkle- unicorn droppings, and it reminded me of cupcake sprinkles, so I modified it.

Accent nail.

Stamping polish- color club- harp on it

SSSP: Metallic madness

Hello.. Welcome to another Sunday Stamping Sneak Peek (SSSP)..
The theme for this week from AIS is Metallic madness. Hmm, my interpretation is a metallic like polish and then stamping with a metallic polish, and making it look a bit crazy.

The theme reminded me of the metallic polishes are the "molten metallics" collection from Face of Australia (FOA). I don't have all of the polishes in the range, as I purchased most when they were on clearance (I googled it. I'm only missing Flaming Lava- a red.)

I tried a swatch of the various polishes to refer to which I would be happy with on the nail.

Base: FOA- Amethyst
Base: SH insta dry- Jumpin Jade

Today I'm stamping and using a base polish from Face of Australia brand.
Base polish: FOA- Amethyst
Stamping polish:  FOA- Iron Ore (stripes), FOA- Titanium & FOA- Verdigris (hearts)

SSSP: French tips

Hello.. Welcome to another Sunday Stamping Sneak Peek (SSSP)..
The theme for this week from AIS is using a french tips design stamp.

I bought essence- french tip stickers during the week, so I could line up the stamp, but I forgot to use them before I stamped.. always next time.

The stamping didn't make it at the tips of my nails, but I like the way they are in the middle- like a bow on a present.

Started with a skittles of base colours- all newly acquired polish.

Stamping polish: Konad- white, Ulta3- gold rush fever
Image plate: CH24 (bow), CH54 (shopping text)
Black nail bits- for centre of bow.

27- Inspired by artwork. [30 day challenge/ untrieds]

Hello.. I'm super happy I get to share with you my favourite artwork for today, as part of the [30 day challenge/ untrieds].

Rimmel- Matte topcoat was applied through the middle of the design on each nail..

Haha, it dosn't look anything like the artwork.. But I would never have used this image plate unless the Escher print had given me inspiration..

See you tomorrow for inspired by a flag day :)

SSSP: Leafies... and new pretties :)

Hello.. Welcome to another Sunday Stamping Sneak Peek (SSSP)..
The theme for this week from AIS is Leafies.. I'm pretty certain that means leaf/ leaves/ the bits on a tree that are not flowers??

Well.. awesome haulage for me this week, nail mail (card left on Monday for me to pick up, but only did it on Friday).

My Cheeky plates had arrived :)
I ordered the new set that everyone's raving about- on the pre-order. And while I was ordering..  the set of plates numbered CH 1-29, also jumped into my basket !!

Also this week on Monday I made a detour and picked up Instyle magazine on the way home. Butter London- pink ribbon is mine.
And I went to pre-purchase tickets for a charity screening on Sunday of Hotel Transylvania at our local shopping centre, raced into Safeway and now have 2 Instyle magazines, and Butter London- pillar box red for the bargain price of $8.95

Ok, onto the mani for AIS..
