ANM: Hearts

Hello.. Today is AN Monday   and the theme is hearts.

 

I tried to not make it too pink and girly. And I used my new pueen plates from a group order. I wish all the companies would send to Australia direct..

Yellow franken

Hello.. It's been so long since I have posted on here, but I have a reason now, as I want to share the mix I created to fill my polish desire. 

Using a spare bottle with a tiny bit of clear polish left I added a decent amount (3ml) of gloss 'n' sparkle- unicorn droppings and a few drops at a time of ulta3- exotic canary.. And a few balls to mix the pretty polish. 

I was after the colour hue like this Pinterest post of a polish by model city. 

The mani application was a bit of a rush job, although opaque with 2 coats.

My personal experience with Autism is with teenagers who I assist as part of my position as Eduction Support:
A wonderful but easily emotional teenage young lady, from New Zealand, living in Australia.
She is creative, writes poetry and stories, likes photography, reading romance novels and cooking.
She does not have many close friends- although everyone at school knows her socially, dislikes it when the class is being too loud.
I hope her future has people around her who understand her differences are simply who she is, and that she is valued as a member of our workplaces.

I have a simple purple sponge gradient covered in spectra flair.

Easter nails

Hello ladies.. Happy Easter!
I'm on holidays for 2 weeks, Victorian school term break. Extra time to do my nails, yay!

I have Easter theme manis from the past few days following:

 

Good Friday- Pastel background & gold (Lindt) bunnies

Dionysus from Shades of Phoenix

Hello.. Shades of Phoenix are releasing new pretty polish in their etsy store.

I was privileged to get a bottle of Dionysus back in January at the AN Melb meet-up.

The pics following are with one coat of ulta3- orchid as undies; however the new release has a slightly richer and darker base colour of purple AND is still with an array of matte glitters.
Yes this polish has bar glitter, I'm not afraid of it..

The 'Olympus' collection of nail polish from Shades of Phoenix is based on Greek mythology. Wikipedia tells me that Dionysus is the god of wine, merrymaking, theatre and ecstasy.
Well, wine and merrymaking, just what I need during an extra long hot summer.. I like it.. and will show it using nail stamping..

ANM: Ulta3

Hello.. I missed last weeks Aussie Nail Monday- the theme was rainbow, and I had planned a mani to show you. [See below, it's here a week late!!]



This week For ANM the theme is "Favourite Brand". If you read my last post I have quite an affinity/ obsession with the brand ulta3.

Loved everything ulta3 labelled Made in Aus, but had trouble getting used to the ulta3 that was Made in PRC.

Onto todays' mani- I woke my nephew to ask him to choose a colour.

I shake him awake and say, "Pick any colour, you don't have to open your eyes, just pick a colour."

"Blue", he says, rolling over.

"Wait, do you choose light blue or dark blue?", I also ask him.

"Light"...

I had to do that, or I would be drooling over my Helmer all day trying to choose one for today.

I also spotted an ulta3 I won from the company when the colour first came out- Pacific Fever..

So I went back to seek a light blue!
1 thicker coat, then 1 thinner coat to touch up any VNL, and Blue Heaven had arrived.

But it was on my right hand and I stuffed up the first few glitters I placed.

So it's not the focus for ANM today.

Bento basics and a giveaway

Hello.. Yep, it's been a while between blog posts. And today I'm focusing on food instead of nail polish.
