Hello.. Quick post for y'all- Melbourne has been soo very hot recently, I'm simply going to add some pics and a description of polish that I used at the end..

AUS: Thongs and a bonus N.O.T.Australia.D.

 

Hello there.. I have a few pics and youtube clips in this post, first some to nails to celebrate everything that I love about Australia.

 

 I stamped thongs. The shoes others call flip flops.

I actually live in them about 9 months of the year.

 

 

I also used tape to create a letter "A".

I had a bad break so have trimmed them down to nubbins.

 Australis: liquid gold (stamping polish)

 Ulta3: purple pumps

My sister won tiks 24 hours before Australia Day to: Big Day Out- Melbourne.

My mani for the day was inspired by Michelle Wong who said in an Aussie Nails post she was using a blue polish and adding ulta3- disco fever (a red glitter), and a white glitter.

Base polish: models own- feeling blue, ulta3- disco fever, ulta3- silver glitter (one nail)
Stamping polish: Barry M- silver foil (thumb)
Image plate: CH31
no topcoats used, yes there is a bit of tip wear.

I had a moment staring into the eyes of the lead singer of the Killers; and loved singing along with everyone to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers "under the bridge".

Halloween: Jack-o-lanterns

Hello.. Today's theme for the halloween nail art challenge is jack-o-lanterns, aka pumpkins.



I suck at this halloween stuff, I cant create spooky manis..
Anyway, I don't really like to eat pumpkin myself, so I've smashed up the jack-o-lantern and created pumpkin pie for you, my friends!!

29- Inspired by the supernatural. [30 day challenge/ untrieds]

Hello.. It's nearly over :(
The [30 day challenge/ untrieds]; the posting every day without fail; the trying to capture the sun to take photos outside..

My mani today used the following:
Base polish: essence- ultimate pink
Stamping polish: ulta3- gold rush fever, konad- pastel blue, konad- purple pearl
Image plate: BM311 (love words), CH3 (heart), BM13 (cross), CH31 (music notes)

Inspiration:
My supernatural mani is based on the love that God provides for us all. Something that is greater than we could ever imagine in size, and depth.
I believe it fits into the category for supernatural because His love is out of this world.



I included the music notes stamping because I could not imagine a life without music/ songs in it.

Also, I put a layer of essie- matte about you over the mani. I'll update with an extra pic tomorrow for you :)

Hello.. Today the theme for the [30 day challenge/ untrieds] is delicate, the most obvious thing is lace.
Well that's what I tried to portray !!

Base polish: chi chi- booty-licious
Stamping polish: konad- pastel pink

I had trouble stamping diagonally on my left hand, so you get to see righty mani pics today :)

This is a lovely colour base, used 3-4 coats and in the sun you can still see that I have VNL, but the shimmer in the polish is beautiful..

 

Tribal tomorrow, something else I have not done, yet... Have you done tribal or delicate nails, what did they look like??

Hello.. I should have given you this post yesterday.. but I was lazy and didn't upload any pics until now..
I have made it to the last day of the colour section, and I have used so many different and previously unused polishes in the past 10 days, normally I leave my manis on for 2-3 days..

Polish use in last 10 days = 16 untrieds :)

Australis:

So you want to see what today was like for my [30 day challenge/ untrieds]

Just to alert you I have never done a gradient before, although previously I did use the stamp on BM301, but the way it turned out, I wasn't 100% happy.

This time however, I was using a piece of kitchen sponge.

Polish used: BC- pink and BC- purple. They don't have colour names, just numbers on each bottle colour.

It turned out so very bumpy, and an added layer of glitter polish made it sparkle (b collection by bloom- aspen), but still if you came close enough to touch it, it was like a rollercoaster :)

Hello..Hope you are great,it's another scheduled post, for the [30 day challenge/ untrieds], due to the Alpha weekend away.

I have a rainbow mani to show you, its quite familiar as its on my blog header. So scroll back up as you admire the mani as part of my blog header.

Its actually a rainbows and lollipops mani.
You know from the song "Sunshine, lollipops and rainbows; everything that's wonderful is what I feel when we're together".

SSSP: Pulsating pink and purple.

Hello.. Welcome to another Sunday Stamping Sneak Peek (SSSP)..
The theme for this week from AIS is Pulsating pink and purple.
The wording reminds me of the pulsating or throbbing you feel in your bones after a night out with the loudest music you ever remember.

The thought of Pulsating pink= the brightest pink polish I had in my collection.
Stamped with the amazing purple stamping polish.

My iphone couldn't deal with the awesome brightness of the pink ...

The stamping image I had in mind was a beating heat, the pulse running through your body.

Jam packed with Pics: my busy week in polish

Hello.. Hope your week is great.

My new pretty polishes are from Australis, I picked up 2 of the "fairy bread" multicolored glitter from Priceline, for the snazzy price of 2 for $10 instead of their usual $7.95 each.
I liked this glitter as it has different sizes and colors to mix and match with many base coats for different occasions.

Base polish is a pink Franken, I made it for a friend as as a dupe for a Rimmel fuchsia polish I gave to my sister..

~My version of Revlon's whimsical but with less pink glitter was mixed with and layered over ulta3- eggshell. From faraway it looks like speckled blue eggs, but it shines nicely in the sun, the only downside to my creation was that once the polishes were mixed to create the franken the glitter settled to the bottom of my bottle. It's going to need a good shake to use it again.

2011 Nail designs retrospective.. PART 1..

These are the konad stamping polishes I purchased from wowsocool.com in Jan 2011.
Konad: White- Black- Light Blue- Pink- Pearl Purple- White Pearl- Red- Clear Top Coat.

I purchased the Bundle Monster nail stamping image plates because they were so cheap and had great reviews on the net.

The first nail stamping design was because of valentines day (Feb 2011).

Base polish: TBN silver
tips: SH pink
stamping polish: konad pink, red
image plates:BM02 (lips), BM09 (LOVE)

I only have 1 konad image plate- M79.
I purchased it off eBay, after accidentally putting $99 in the biding box instead of $0.99- anyway i ended up paying about $7 for it, way much more that i wanted to..

Here's some nail designs I used it for:

Base polish: old avon in pink
stamping polish: konad white
image plate: M79 (lace on a diagonal)
-- A valentines contest on facebook for OC nail art where you had to do designs on a hand and a foot.

Base polish: BYS In da club (n197- neon Blue)
Stamping polish: konad white
image plate: M79 (clouds)
-- This was for the school sports day (March 2011)- Blue house- we won !!

Nails or not nails..

hello my name is missa, or issta or even mel.

I decided very late to give up designs on my nails for lent.
Since Sat 16th April have had green polish and silver glitter on..
I think i should give up something to make a sacrifice for Easter.
I can't give up any food, like chips as i don't eat potato anyway.

I have noticed in the last paragraph how bad my spelling is when i type, i think its just because the words are coming so fast, but my fingers can't keep up.
Maybe i will  have to practice, anyone got an old Mavis beacon typing program??
(Edit: I just realised that they have spellcheck on here.. hehe gone back and used it on today's posts !!)

so first boring post is nearly done, here's one pic to make it more interesting..
