Hello ladies..  During April I will be supporting the cause to help others be aware of autism.

My personal experience with Autism is with teenagers who I assist as part of my position as Eduction Support:
A wonderful but easily emotional teenage young lady, from New Zealand, living in Australia.
She is creative, writes poetry and stories, likes photography, reading romance novels and cooking.
She does not have many close friends- although everyone at school knows her socially, dislikes it when the class is being too loud.
I hope her future has people around her who understand her differences are simply who she is, and that she is valued as a member of our workplaces.

Hello.. This mani is one of my Aussie themed.
Remember I'm only using Australis, Ulta3 and Sportsgirl brand polish.

• 2 coats of Ulta3- Allure (except 3rd nail).
• Saran/glad wrap technique: with Australis- flip flops over 2 nails, with Sportsgirl- volcanic sparks over pinky.
• Stamping over each nail.

Well hear me out, remember the post title- MATE!
Of course, a mate is someone who is good for a party in a group, and is fun. These nails are a group of smiley face mates! Now where's my drink, mate?

SSSP: put the light on top

Hello.. Welcome to another Sunday Stamping Sneak Peek (SSSP)..
The theme for this week from AIS is "light stamp over a dark base"

I started with a layer of dark blue polish, then added the gold/blue glitter of "through the looking glass".

The full image stamp is of swirls, then I added a white rabbit (like from Alice in Wonderland..)

Hello.. I'm glad you can't see what I'm wearing while I type this.. it's nothing bad, just washing day limits the choices.

Hello.. Today the theme is half moon nails for the [30 day challenge/ untrieds]. I have not done this type of mani before, but have had fun thinking up ideas for it.

The polish base is more purple-y and not as blue-y as it is in the photos.

Hello.. Today the theme for the [30 day challenge/ untrieds] is delicate, the most obvious thing is lace.
Well that's what I tried to portray !!

I had trouble stamping diagonally on my left hand, so you get to see righty mani pics today :)

This is a lovely colour base, used 3-4 coats and in the sun you can still see that I have VNL, but the shimmer in the polish is beautiful..

Hello.. I've got a late mani for you today, busy week :)
Great ideas that everyone has had for the same topic each day on the [30 day challenge/ untrieds].

I had sooo much trouble getting good pics to put put up, it loooked all shiny and colourful in person, but the camera wouldn't capture it for me :)

SSSP: poisonous or toxic

Hello..Welcome to another Sunday Stamping Sneak Peek (SSSP)..
I had to look through my plates for inspiration, as nothing shouts from my mind when I think of the theme for this week from AIS.
The obvious are Britney Spears song- Toxic, or the chemical symbols from poison bottles.

Ok I'm doing a purple octopus with poisonous tentacles in a blue sea.

Base polish: Models own- blue moon & In a NYC minute- prince street.
Stamping polish:KONAD- purple & KONAD- pastel blue.
Image plate:BM20 (octopus tentacles), BM325 tips (octopus head).

7- black/white. [30 day challenge/ untrieds]

Hello.. It's not that unusual, but I didn't expect to have a black AND/ OR a white untried polish to be able to use it for the [30 day challenge/ untrieds].

My white polish is the ulta3- white lily (used to be made in Aus, now this one is made in PRC), and I read it is a great one coat polish. This is with the black polish from the brand called B.C., recently available from KMart for the bargain price of $2.

 

I also used b collection by bloom- Detroit (as seen top row, second from left- $1 clearance polish :). 

It's a silver holo glitter.

 

Started with the white base, then freehand dotted onto nails in black, really close to each other, first diagonally through middle- from point to tip.
Then with a smaller tip, dotted the black closer to the tip and again near the nail bed.
Accent nail was my not growing fast enough pinky, first in black, then dotted in white.
Then dotted over the middle diagonal in the opposite colour with the smaller tip.
Was so happy how they turned out, but finished with the glitter dots for some shimmer- and used another untried !!


Left hand.

 The thought of dotting the right hand would mean hours of messy dotting, so on top of the white base colour I stamped using black konad polish and image plate BM 322.
Accent nail I stuffed up and had to redo, so my pointer finger is the black base and silver glitter joined dots.
Also went over the outer black stamped dots with a dot of the silver glitter polish.

Right hand.

The pics didn't do it justice, I loved the glitter bouncing the sunlight around, and even though the hands didn't match they had the same style.

SSSP: group inspiration & HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!

Hello.. Welcome to another Sunday Stamping Sneak Peek (SSSP)..
The theme for this week from AIS is "a mani based on something you have learnt from the group".

My inspiration is from this image, by Natalie Niu, wanting to create my own version of it, and I also haven't used this plate before (lol, the blue plastic was still on it). I also learnt from the group that you can stamp quite well with the Sally Hansen insta-dry polishes.

Also today, 1st September, is my nephew's 11th birthday. It is important to me as I have raised him since he was 6mths old. He loves Lego and hopes that everyone he invited to his party will buy him an ipod touch :)

So lovely readers, the following is a SSSP for AIS with a glittery Birthday twist !!

SSSP: Pulsating pink and purple.

Hello.. Welcome to another Sunday Stamping Sneak Peek (SSSP)..
The theme for this week from AIS is Pulsating pink and purple.
The wording reminds me of the pulsating or throbbing you feel in your bones after a night out with the loudest music you ever remember.

The thought of Pulsating pink= the brightest pink polish I had in my collection.
Stamped with the amazing purple stamping polish.

My iphone couldn't deal with the awesome brightness of the pink ...

The stamping image I had in mind was a beating heat, the pulse running through your body.

Sunday Stamping Sneak Peek (SSSP): using 2 stamps

Hello.. the theme for this week from AIS is using 2 different stamps in your mani.

I had no plate in mind that I wanted to use for stamping with. I firstly chose to stamp using red, and worked back from there.. choosing a base colour, then deciding I wanted to have a different colour accent nail, and finally picking up the handful of bundle monster series3 plates in a stack and sliding 2 out.

this is what I came up with:

Base polish: Butter London- yummy mummy , NYC- red slippers (Ulta3 dupe- "English rose")
stamping polish: KONAD red, KONAD white pearl
image plate: BM306, BM308

Have you perfected nail art stamping? I'm using the full nails easily, but need more practise applying the nail tip stamps..

Hello.. I bought an iPad today. Woop..

I wanted one for the longest time, but was waiting for the newer model to come out. I caved in and I love it.
What does this mean for the stuff I love in my life.? I can see the pics much better than on my iPhone, as I hardly ever use the net on a main computer.

My most recent mani was for the Sunday stamping on 8 July in the group on Facebook with the weekly theme being something you love.

I love the colour combo of light and darker purple.
And I love the swirly love hearts kinda image on bundle monster plate 201
I also added a love word stamp from the new 2012 image plates in darker purple, with the Chinese stamp for blessing in black.

And to finish it off a little sparkle with essence glitter topcoat & rimmel matte for the love accent nail
