AUS: Thongs and a bonus N.O.T.Australia.D.

 

Hello there.. I have a few pics and youtube clips in this post, first some to nails to celebrate everything that I love about Australia.

 

 I stamped thongs. The shoes others call flip flops.

I actually live in them about 9 months of the year.

 

 

I also used tape to create a letter "A".

I had a bad break so have trimmed them down to nubbins.

 Australis: liquid gold (stamping polish)

My sister won tiks 24 hours before Australia Day to: Big Day Out- Melbourne.

My mani for the day was inspired by Michelle Wong who said in an Aussie Nails post she was using a blue polish and adding ulta3- disco fever (a red glitter), and a white glitter.

Base polish: models own- feeling blue, ulta3- disco fever, ulta3- silver glitter (one nail)
Stamping polish: Barry M- silver foil (thumb)

no topcoats used, yes there is a bit of tip wear.

I had a moment staring into the eyes of the lead singer of the Killers; and loved singing along with everyone to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers "under the bridge".

Days passing with a purpose

Hello.. I want to share a song with you that I absolutely wish I could keep on repeat 24 hours a day.
My favourite line is Heaven's got a plan for you.

Remember the book I mentioned I was completing.? Today was day 27 from the 40 day book.

No matter what the content is, it's given me a routine to be able to have an allocated time where i can reflect on God's word and use the opportunity to instill changes to become focused on my purpose. 

I think that after I have finished the complete 40 days, I will redo it again later, maybe in 6-12 months. I am interested in seeing that if I make changes and the notes in the margin will still apply later down the track. 

I also have another book in mind that I'm going to use after the Rick Warren book is complete, written by an Aussie female author. I've had it for a while and haven't set aside time to read through it previously.

Book: A Purpose driven life

Hello.. At the moment I'm into day 5 of a 40 day thingo. Specifically it's to lead me to a purpose filled life.

Back in July/ August 2012 I read in a Christian women's mag article that we need to define our goals and future priorities. Only I had forgotten that I'd written mine into a notebook until I needed to write my baptism testimony in the same notebook.

Re-reading my set goals for the near future, I realised that it's not something I should have stored away in a notebook- but be constantly reminded of.

So the 40 day book is Rick Warren's "A purpose driven life". The book is being used as a companion to a course I'm doing @1330 called Foundation. 

I did research the book as it's been around for a while, and looked up Internet reviews. One link I did find was not very positive- but it's in my mind as I read during the 40 days, to think why Rick Warren has chosen to link specific verses of the word into his specific chapters. I have also used youversion to compare the stated verses and come to somewhat of an understanding.

Below I share with you the song that's been consuming me, I need to listen to it more than once a day.
It's called Blessings, and although its not a brand new shiny song- Blessings is a song that my heart desires to embrace.

29- Inspired by the supernatural. [30 day challenge/ untrieds]

Hello.. It's nearly over :(
The [30 day challenge/ untrieds]; the posting every day without fail; the trying to capture the sun to take photos outside..

My mani today used the following:
Base polish: essence- ultimate pink
Stamping polish: ulta3- gold rush fever, konad- pastel blue, konad- purple pearl
Image plate: BM311 (love words), CH3 (heart), BM13 (cross), CH31 (music notes)

Inspiration:
My supernatural mani is based on the love that God provides for us all. Something that is greater than we could ever imagine in size, and depth.
I believe it fits into the category for supernatural because His love is out of this world.



I included the music notes stamping because I could not imagine a life without music/ songs in it.
