Bento basics and a giveaway

[EDIT: The giveaway image didn't work, so I've re-done it. You still have 3 days !!]

Hello.. Yep, it's been a while between blog posts. And today I'm focusing on food instead of nail polish.

Firstly, a chance to win free stuff. Open internationally.
The easiest way to have a fun & cute lunch GIVEAWAY - over 100 pcs of bento food picks, cupcake rings and sauce (mayo) dipping cups

Also I went shopping at Daiso in Melbourne CBD. Specifically on a mission to purchase a bento box.

I have found a website running a fun and easy course that fingers crossed will get me away from spending so much money at the canteen.

Days passing with a purpose

Hello.. I want to share a song with you that I absolutely wish I could keep on repeat 24 hours a day.
My favourite line is Heaven's got a plan for you.

Please click though to the awesome song by Swedish House Mafia..

Remember the book I mentioned I was completing.? Today was day 27 from the 40 day book.

No matter what the content is, it's given me a routine to be able to have an allocated time where i can reflect on God's word and use the opportunity to instill changes to become focused on my purpose.

I think that after I have finished the complete 40 days, I will redo it again later, maybe in 6-12 months. I am interested in seeing that if I make changes and the notes in the margin will still apply later down the track.

I also have another book in mind that I'm going to use after the Rick Warren book is complete, written by an Aussie female author. I've had it for a while and haven't set aside time to read through it previously.

Where the bloody hell have I been

Hello.. Remember me??

Where the bloody hell have I been..

Nowhere using my passport, nowhere exotic.

I have spent the last few weeks offline, enjoying life, as I became dis-interested in creating spooky manis. They are not really my thing, and yep, I was so mad at myself for not completing the challenge.

However, starting on November 12, Mondays are now fun-days, with my blog getting a steady stream of weekly posts through the creation of Aussie Nails Monday (ANM) challenge

Created by the fabulous Elissa  and supported by many ladies in the Aussie Nails facebook group, we will be creating manis on a set theme each week- and posting on a Monday.

I have a set page with a list of links for each of the Aussie Nails ladies- so please [click here] to be taken through to share the love of polish.

I have still purchased polish during the past 4 weeks:

Ulta3 candy cane- 10 polish bottles (bulk buying polish)

Ulta3 glitter collection- 5 plain colours of glitter (but not the mixed glitter, none left)

Bargain buys- $2 colorama polish- yellow, green

.72c max factor mini- black (no fantasy fires left, boo)

FOA pastels- boysenberry, orange, blue, green

Essence breaking dawn- Alice, Jacob (wasn't a fan of the other colours)

Essence new bottle- grey-t to be here

Chi chi- my bad (love the silver holo glitter)

Nail mail:

Essie- wicked, marshmallow, treatments, mini polish cube

Butter London- 6 polishes

Beauty2007- seche restore, poshe, rejuvicote x2, color club holos x6.

Honey to the bee

NPR: Where I have found a place to call home AKA (honey to the bee.)

You know how a glass prism or holo polish changes in the sunlight, and when you change the angle of your hand you can catch the full spectrum rainbow of colour?

I'm pretty much in awe of gods amazement in the small things and a recent experience has had that effect on every minute of my day...

How can I explain the changes you've made in me. See my head as it followed my body under water in front of everyone last Sunday morning. The members of the congregation were extended by one today, as my mum witnessed my public declaration of love for Jesus.
Now we are bound together in life as one, your words like honey to my soul.
Did you know that my name is Greek for bee; so knowing your words are sweeter than honeycomb gives me a thrill. You had known what the plans for me were before I even knew your love existed.

I need to bask in the reflective holo rainbow of colour that provided by god for me everyday, and also to remember the constant battle between mind and heart into being a grateful ambassador of life and time.

These are the pretty church nails I did for my baptism day.

Plain French tips, but the beige had a blue shimmer.

I really wanted to add some stamping, but couldn't find anything that was subtle and demure!

Book: A Purpose driven life

Hello.. At the moment I'm into day 5 of a 40 day thingo. Specifically it's to lead me to a purpose filled life.

Back in July/ August 2012 I read in a Christian women's mag article that we need to define our goals and future priorities. Only I had forgotten that I'd written mine into a notebook until I needed to write my baptism testimony in the same notebook.
Re-reading my set goals for the near future, I realised that it's not something I should have stored away in a notebook- but be constantly reminded of.

So the 40 day book is Rick Warren's "A purpose driven life". The book is being used as a companion to a course I'm doing @1330 called Foundation.

I did research the book as it's been around for a while, and looked up Internet reviews. One link I did find was not very positive- but it's in my mind as I read during the 40 days, to think why Rick Warren has chosen to link specific verses of the word into his specific chapters. I have also used youversion to compare the stated verses and come to somewhat of an understanding.

Below I share with you the song that's been consuming me, I need to listen to it more than once a day.
It's called Blessings, and although its not a brand new shiny song- Blessings is a song that my heart desires to embrace.
Enjoy..

From my heart

Hello.. Disclaimer: this post hasn't got beauty or nail stuff in it...

But here's a pic of my awesome shoes I'm wearing every time the sun decides to peek out, since I purchased them last week..

I want to share 2 songs that have recently been on the popular radio station, and I believe have changed me..

Inspiration: in everyday life !

Hello.. What inspires you?
Could it be something tangible, like people and objects?? Or something you can't see, like a thought or future plans??

Inspiration, for me, comes from nature- the sounds and sights in the morning sunshine.
